Sport Seat 911 1974/1980 Restoration Kit (2 Seats) Complete leather restoration kit for the 2 front seats of Porsche 911 models 1974–1980 with original Recaro sport seats (pre-SC models, Carrera 3.0, SC and early Turbo models). The easiest way to distinguish a sport seat from a standard (comfort) seat is to measure the side of the back rest. At the widest point, the comfort seat measures 12.5cm (5”) whereas the sport seat measures 17.5 cm (7”). Our leather seat restoration kit is probably the best you can buy for completeness, originality and fit. The kit includes everything you typically need to bring your front seats back to factory new condition; all front seat covers and correction foam for seat base bolsters. Our hand crafted front seat covers (2 back rest and 2 seat base covers), match Stuttgart factory specifications step by step; from the finest Scottish hides with Porsche PoN perforation for the center sections, top quality calico backing material, exact specification pleat filling, right down to the piping cord and the high resistance yarns we use. All hides are precision cut, piping bound and pre-formed to guarantee a factory authentic fit. The kit is delivered with correction foam for the seat base bolsters. This allows you to correct the worn sides typically found on the driver’s side seat bolster. Bear in mind, that a significantly deformed or decomposed seat base can only be restored with new cell foam. New seat base cell foams are not included as part of this kit. These OEM specification straps are made from organically tanned leather with rounded tip and the original chrome DOT fastener, just like the original. The kit includes everything you typically need to bring your targa top back to factory new condition. We use the original German materials that exactly match Stuttgart factory specifications; deep grain vinyl roof skin, foam backed nylon headlining, densely woven linen backing cloth and insulation material. Targa tops that suffered from water infiltration and older tops usually need replacement of the tension bands at the front and rear of the frame. Tension bands maintain spacing of the aluminium plates and help ensure a good seal to reduce wind noise. The tension band kit includes 2 Sonnenland canvas tension bands and 30 rivets. For a durable result we recommend to install this kit using thermo-resistant industrial PU glue with hardener.
